Day 52 - April 14 2010
Hello World:
During my travels today I came across three unique things:
A very cute toddler at Market and Drumm St.:
A really cool light/wall fixture at Sens Restaurant in San Francisco:
Which might I say is one of my favorite places in town!!!! Great food, great service, great drinks, great music-what more can you ask for!??! (credit to Kais & Co.!)
And last but not least- I didn't realize how cool my street looked deserted at night:
*not sure if spelled deserted wrong and am too lazy to check (is it desserted or deserted?)
**and yes the last picture has been heavily edited- though I did this to emphasize how COOL it looked with only one street light by a tree =)
Goodnight Moon. Today was a good day.

Hello World
On Monday I tried the Bran Bread (Recipe posted a few entries before this) a la mode - specifically, Cookies n' Cream icecream
It was ABSOLUTELY delicious!!! I was thinking of doing a tres leches twist on the bran bread but that would defeat its purpose of being a healthy bread.
oh bummer, moon.

Hello World!
Today I received a chocolate Umbrella-ella from a friend/CO-worker (lets call him Mr. Arthur Timothy Read, the anthromorphic aardvark)
I also went out to dinner with of my dearest friends at Plouf (40 Belden Place San Francisco ,CA). As usual they had absolutely delicious mussells. We probably could have gotten away with the 2 orders of mussells- but of course, being the heifers we are, we also shared a Filet Mignon. lol
Anyway as I was walking from BART to Belden Place, I passed through Claude Lane- another one of the San Francisco's hidden gems. Belden Place and Claude Lane are both alleys close to Union Square that are set up very much like Paris, France =)

Claude Lane:
And finally, here are two photos I took while waiting for my train.

Hello World,
Today I'd like to share the recipe for my favorite bran bread. It's healthy, moist, and filing enough to have for breakfast. It goes great with a fresh cup of coffee too!
Here it goes:
1 ¾ cups – Unprocessed Bran
[comes in a box like this]:
1 cup – Granulated Sugar
¾ cups – Light Brown Sugar
2 ½ cups – Flour
2 ½ tsp – Baking Soda
1 tsp – Salt
3 – Eggs
2 cups – Milk
½ cups – Vegetable Oil
Preheat oven to 400 F.
Combine all dry ingredients, mix until all dry ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Add eggs and milk to dry ingredients. Mix (about 2-3 min) until ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Add oil and mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Bake for 30 min. at 400 F. Then bake for another 10 min at 350 F.
Et voila, monde!
PS - one of the benefits of living close to mom and dad is being able to spontaneously grab dinner together! So tonight we had sushi....and for some reason the edamame was particularly DELICIOUS!

Hello World,
My mailbox has been of great importance to me lately:
I applied to law school and am now waiting to hear back. So everyday, I drive to my parents house, check their mailbox, anxiously sift through garbage mail, and drive away- empty handed, for the most part.
To onwatchers I probably look like a creep going through someone else's mail.
Oh well- c'est la vie.
Goodnight moon.
